We are the Yendarra Pukekos!



We are lucky to go to the best school in the world, we love it here! We are a hard-working, sensible class but we like to have fun too. This term we are learning all about kiwiana. We will share some of what we have learned in our blogs. Kiwiana is about all the things that are special to New Zealand. For example, kiwiana is jaffas and pavlaova, kiwis and pukekos, the buzzy bee, the All Blacks and the Haka. Next week we are going to be doing instruction writing so watch out for some cool and yummy kiwiana recipes we have written!

We are also learning different folk dances. Maybe we can make a movie of our favourite one if you'd like to see it?

    I think it's great how you guys take so much pride in learning.If only every school were like that.And to me,being multi cultural is very important.Good job.

    I really liked the way that you guys apprectiate your school and to be on your best behavior. It's also intresting that you guys are learning different folk dancing.

    Hello everyone,
    On my first visit to New Zealand I saw some Pukekos and would like to know more about them.
    We are coming to New Zealand for Christmas this year, so would love to hear more about things that are special to New Zealanders.

    Here in Tucson we all have many diffrent cultures too. One of the many special things are the saguaros.We also have these things called Eegee's.They are a type of slushi it's ice with what ever tape of flavor you want.It really good.We also have a place that sells sandwich.It called subway, you could make a really big sandwich.You could put what ever you want.It really cool. tell me about what's cool over there in New Zeland?
