The Scarecrow Song

I Room 10 we have been learning all about the garden and how plants grow. The birds have been eating all the seeds we planted! We made some scarecrows to scare them off and we sung them a song too. Now our plants are growing up, up, up towards the sun.

Happy New Year!

Term 1 is about to start and I am very excited to meet my new class. I have had a wonderful holidays but am ready to get back to school. I have lots of exciting things planned for Room 10. We are going to learn all about where some of our food comes from, and how it gets from a little seed into the supermarket. We are going to do lots of writing about our experiences and we are even going to make a video of some of the exciting things we have been doing so we can share it with you. I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone else is up to on their blogs as well. Happy New Year everyone!
Love Miss Gottwald

Bunning's Warehouse

Last week Bunning's Warehouse visited Yendarra to help us build a vegetable garden. We planted beans, spinich, lettuces, cucumber, tomaties and strawberries. They taught us how to plant them and how to look after them. We have to give them plenty of water and make sure we put pellets down to keep the snails and slugs away. They like to eat vegertables. We do too! We can't wait until they are ready to pick and eat... yummy!
